Wear it Wednesday!

Sequins are everywhere this season! From the red-carpet to holiday parties, wearing a touch sparkle can add flair to any outfit. However, like any good thing, a little bit goes a long way, so when wearing this sequined apparel, try not to go overboard or you will look like a Disco ball!

Here are a few ways to where this look and get it right:

1) Pick one great statement piece (ie. a shirt,a dress...) and combine it with a more neutral item. If, you decide to wear a fabulous blinged out top for example, pair it with a less ostentatious bottom such as a great black pant or skirt. The overall look will appear more modern if you let the embellished piece serve as the focal point and keep the rest of the outfit clear of "fuss".

2) Try a colored sequin. Sequins look great when they are black but try other colors as well. Metallic sequins such as silver and pewter are gaining popularity and look just as chic.

3) Sparkle by day. No need to save your embellished pieces for night. A touch of glimmer can add fun to your every day outfit as well. Wear a pair of flats with a sequin detail out to lunch or top off your office look with a top that features subtle embellishment.

4) Accessorize! If you like this look but don't want to go over-the-top, look for clutch or a necklace with some bling. You can still shine without overdosing on the sequins!
