Is it written in the stars?

First of all, thank you to all our new and old followers for making magic happen!!! We have reached our goal of 100 followers and are now going to be able to offer a brand new giveaway. We love you guys! Woo hoo!

So, some interesting news came out recently for those who have a fascination with astrology and horoscopes. According to the Minnesota Planetarium Society, if you were predicting that your baby was going to fall under a particular sign, you could be using the wrong "sun sign" on the Zodiac chart. To make matters worse, you could have been reading your own horoscope incorrectly for years. How is this possible? Well, the signs of the Zodiac were originally created by the ancient Babylonians, over 3,000 years ago. At that time, it was believed that your sign was determined by what constellation the sun was in on the day you were born. Throughout the years however, the Earth has shifted in its alignment to the sun, making the designated periods for each sign shift as well. Think you are an Aries? Turns out you actually might be a Pisces because this slight shift in alignment has created a one month change in the stars' alignment. Additionally, there may be a new zodiac sign, called Ophiuchus a 13th sign that falls between Scorpio and Sagittarius (Nov.29-Dec.17) because the Babylonians discarded this sign because they wanted 12 signs per year rather than 13. Does this all mean that we are all going to now suffer from an identity crisis as a result of this latest development? Thankfully, no. Only some of us.

Capricorn: Jan. 20-Feb. 16.
Aquarius: Feb. 16-March 11.
Pisces: March 11-April 18.
Aries: April 18-May 13.
Taurus: May 13-June 21.
Gemini: June 21-July 20.
Cancer: July 20-Aug. 10.
Leo: Aug. 10-Sept. 16.
Virgo: Sept. 16-Oct. 30.
Libra: Oct. 30-Nov. 23.
Scorpio: Nov. 23-29.
Ophiuchus:* Nov. 29-Dec. 17.
Sagittarius: Dec. 17-Jan. 20.

What do you think for those of you who now have a new sign? Do you feel like your entire worldview has changed or do you like your new sign better? Hopefully, you do not have your old sign tattooed on your body, or like an ex-boyfriend, you might want to remove it...

On a happy note, we are going to begin our give-away in honor of reaching our goal of 100 followers! We will be offering a $35 gift certificate good to use on, where due to the incredible sale going on right now, the $35 will actually buy you something special. How to enter? Check out our winter collection on and tell us which 2 pieces you love and why on this blog via "comments". That's it!

Have a fantastically cosmic day!
The Moody Mamas

  1. What? I'm an Aries? Nahhhh... I've been blaming my stubbornness on being a Taurus all my life. I'm definitely not going to stop now! ;)

I love the Captivating Cap Sleeve PJ Set - super cute, and it has hidden nursing slits! It looks like the kind of thing I would just wear all day (shh).

I also love the Blissful Box Pleat Shirt in Black. Ruching has been a godsend this pregnancy - so flattering and comfortable too, as it doesn't stretch tight across the belly.

ps, I'm wearing my Posh Mama pants right now and loving them!

  2. I'm a libra now! Weird. I like the cowl top with lace sleeves shirt and the tunic dress!

  3. This comment has been removed by the author.

  4. I'm now a gemini - had to google to even figure out what that means. (Thought cancer was so dead on too!)

LOVE the Striped Tunic with Epaulettes (epaulettes and a pocket - Love love) and the Rosette T-Shirt in Pink (actually I love gray too)

(Missed spelled gemini and had to fix it)

  5. GFC follow back

  6. Huh. I knew I was a Taurus before, but didn't really know what that meant. Now I'm an Aries..oh well!

I love the formal flare of the Chiffon Puffed Sleeve Shirt in Black, but yet it can be paired with jeans.

I also like the Captivating Cap Sleeve PJ Set because it's so cute! I like to wear cute things to bed. It makes me feel spoiled and like I'll sleep well!
